Film subtitling services: broadcast-grade, flat-rate, 48 hours
Fonti Studio subtitles features, series, and trailers for independent distributors, sales agents, and post houses. Every delivery is authored against the Netflix Timed Text spec and the BBC Subtitle Guidelines, reviewed by a named senior editor, and priced flat so the number is on this page instead of in a quote cycle.
What every subtitle delivery includes
- Spec compliance, first submission. ≤42 characters per line, ≤2 lines, ≤20 characters per second, 5/6 s to 7 s durations, 2-frame gaps, shot-aligned timing. Verified by automated conformance checks before the file leaves the building.
- A locked glossary. Every recurring name, place, and term pinned to one canonical spelling across the whole deliverable, extracted from your CCSL or source subtitle.
- Faithful translation, verified. Register and idiom checked by an independent cross-model review pass, then a naturalness pass, before delivery.
- Forced narrative tracks where the title needs them, delivered as separate FN files per platform convention.
- SDH on request, free. Speaker IDs and sound description, same price.
- The bilingual stack, free. Buy two subtitle languages on one title and the stacked dual-language file for Belgian, Swiss, or Quebec release is included.
- All the formats. SRT default; TTML, IMSC 1.1, EBU-TT-D, CEA-608/708 on request, generated at the measured frame rate so they cannot drift out of sync.

How it works
Email hello@fonti.studio with download links to the film, the trailer, and the CCSL or original-language SRT, plus your target languages. A producer reads every brief, typically within one business day. On approval you get a free preview in every requested language within 48 hours, at delivery quality. You buy only the languages you keep.
The floor, measured
Reference delivery, The Last Kumite (2024), French and Dutch: 0 errors against the Netflix Branded Delivery subtitle spec across 1,212 cues per language, glossary locked across both. Details on the about page.
Common questions
How much do film subtitling services cost?
Fonti Studio prices flat, per language, by runtime: €100 for a 20-minute-plus episode, €200 for a 45-minute-plus episode, €400 for a feature. Trailer subtitles are always €50 per language. No per-minute meters, no QC surcharges, no quote cycle.
What subtitle formats do you deliver?
SRT is the default deliverable. TTML, IMSC 1.1, EBU-TT-D (Tech 3350) and CEA-608/708 conversions are available on request, generated from the same millisecond-accurate master at the measured frame rate of your video.
Do you do SDH and closed captions?
Yes. SDH (subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing, with speaker IDs and sound description) is available on request at no extra charge, alongside the standard dialogue track.
Do you deliver forced narrative tracks?
Yes, as standard on any title with on-screen text or foreign-language dialogue: a standalone FN file per language, timed against the picture, with the FN events also folded into the full subtitle files, per platform spec.
How fast is delivery?
A free preview in your target languages within 48 hours of a producer approving your brief, and the full masters within 48 hours of payment, for features up to 180 minutes.
