Who we are
Fonti Studio is operated by WatchWatchers Films BV, Emiel Hullebroecklaan 59, 8501 Kortrijk, Belgium, registered with the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises under number 1025.080.063, VAT BE 1025.080.063, the controller for the personal data described on this page. Contact: hello@fonti.studio.
What we receive, and why
When you email a brief, we receive the contact and project details you send us (your email address, film title, and the download links you provide). We use them only to evaluate the brief, produce the delivery, reply to you, and invoice you. Legal bases: performance of a contract (or steps before one, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and legal obligations around invoicing and accounting (Art. 6(1)(c)).
Your master and source files
Film masters and source files are encrypted at rest, hosted in the EU, and purged on your written request or at the latest twelve months after the last delivery. Your master never trains a model. For personal data contained in your materials (including cast voices), we act as processor on your instructions; that processing is governed by our Data Processing Agreement, including the list of sub-processors and international-transfer safeguards.
Recipients
We share data only with the service providers needed to deliver the work (AI translation and, for dub orders, voice-rendering providers; payment processing; EU hosting), each under contract and, for providers outside the EEA, under an EU adequacy decision or Standard Contractual Clauses. The full, current list is in the DPA. We never sell personal data.
Retention
Project content: purged on request or at the latest twelve months after the last delivery. Correspondence and contract records: for the duration of the relationship and any legal limitation periods. Invoices: as long as Belgian accounting and tax law requires.
Your rights
You can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and object to processing, by emailing hello@fonti.studio. You can also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be).
Tracking
The site does not set cookies and does not run cross-site trackers, so there is no cookie banner. The entire engagement is by email, and there is no account to create.
We count visits with PostHog, hosted in the EU (Frankfurt), in its cookieless mode: nothing is stored on your device, no profile is built, and no one is identified. To tell one visit from the next, PostHog's servers compute a one-way hash of your IP address, browser and our domain with a salt that rotates daily, so a visitor cannot be recognised from one day to the next. We see aggregate figures: pages viewed, where visits came from (for example a search engine or an ad, from the link's campaign tags), how far down a page visits get, clicks on the site, page loading speed and script errors (so we can fix slow or broken pages), and whether a brief was sent (the service and the number of languages, never its content). On the free subtitle tools we count which tool was used, the file format and the number of cues and findings; the file itself, its name and its text never leave your browser. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing which pages help buyers (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Blocking the script does not affect anything on the site.
